Team Assistant - Civil Society Support in Indonesia

Background
STATT’s programs with civil society in Indonesia are growing quickly. We are inviting applicants for exciting work supporting the work of a small team of advisers who are working to develop the capacity of Indonesian NGOs to achieve missions in service delivery and advocacy. In addition to collaborating with the project team in Indoneisa, you will be part of our civil society initiatives spread across several countries. The job is based in Jakarta and may involve some travel within Indonesia. The position commences in October 2012 and will be a 9 month full-time contract with the possibilty of  extension. For more information about us, please see www.statt.net.

Your Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to support a team of specialists working directly with a range of NGOs. You will sit with STATT’s operations team and work in close collaboration with the NGO Support Team Leader. Your tasks will include the following:
·   Supporting production of training and workshop materials and reports
·   Arranging and coordinating logistics of meetings, training events, workshops and fieldwork, including travel arrangements
·   Managing and tracking communications with the project funder, partner NGOs and other partners 
·   Filling supply and equipments needs for the team and their work
·    Coordinating payments to project suppliers
·    Background research on NGO, capacity development, and Indonesian localities as needed
·    Other administrative tasks as needed

Your Background and Qualifications
This role requires someone who is self-motivated in organizing their work. The role is both challenging and rewarding. The following qualifications and experience are necessary: 
·   3 years relevant work experience particularly in arranging and managing meetings and travel
·    Minimum secondary school education 
·    Compter proficiency including Microsoft Office (Publisher and Access would be a plus) and online search tools
·   Demonstrated ability to work in teams and communicate effectively with people from a range of backgrounds
·   Exceptional time management and organizational skills
·    Applied knowledge of records management and filing procedures
·    Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness
·     English proficiency (written and spoken) will be a plus
