The Nature Conservancy

The Nature Conservancy is a global conservation organization dedicated to preserve the plants, animals, and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters to survive.

Currently we are searching qualified candidate to fill position of:

GENERAL SUPPORT (temporary position with 4 months period)

This position provides a full range of administrative and/or program support to a Field Office. These functions may involve various office tasks including some or all of the following: answering phones, sorting/distributing mail, maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, working with vendors, drafting correspondence, maintaining logs and costs, organizing and filing. This may also include handling inquiries about field office activities, communications and/or educational materials, and producing narrative or financial reports as needed.  S/he may prepare accounting forms and disbursement requests, monitor income and expense budgets and review internal and partner financial reports. S/he provides efficient and timely action on administrative matters, the preparation of correspondence and materials, may communicate on behalf of the supervisor with internal staff and partners.  S/he may handle domestic travel arrangements and calendar for supervisor and coordinate logistics with others as needed.  S/he may be responsible for departmental calendar and filing, as well as back-up administrative assistance to the department.

Requirements:
·  Associate’s degree, technical education or 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination.
·  Experience in MS Office, Word and Excel. May require Power Point and Database Management skills. Ability to use advanced computer functions including navigating the Internet.
·  Service oriented.  Courteous, personable, tactful and able to deal effectively and sensitively with all levels of staff and public.
·  Demonstrated flexibility to changing situations and priorities.
·  Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
·  May require fluency in foreign language(s) to support global operations. Specific language(s) may be preferred depending on operating unit.

This position will be base in Berau Field Office (Tanjung Redeb, Berau - East Kalimantan - Indonesia)
