Finance Assistant

Tetra Tech ARD is currently accepting expressions of interest for the Finance Assistant (Jakarta based) on our USAID Indonesia Forestry and Climate Support Project (USAID IFACS). USAID IFACS seeks to reduce the threats of deforestation and climate change, and help the Government of Indonesia (GOI) conserve the country's tropical forests, wildlife, and ecosystem processes (including carbon sequestration). JOB SUMMARY: The Finance Assistant will work under the supervision of and directly support the Finance Officer in processing payments, data entry, bank reconciliation, preparing monthly financial report, review of Regional Office's monthly reports and review of Grantee's financial reports. QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in relevant subject matter such as Finance, Economics or Accounting (relevant experience may substitute for the degrees mentioned). Minimum of 2 years' experience in an equivalent position. Experience in processing payments related to tax; service, payroll, VAT, rental, etc., preferred. Experience working in a similar position for an NGO or an international organization is required. Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred but not required. Native fluency in spoken and written Indonesian. Professional competency in spoken and written English. Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Must be flexible, willing to perform other duties and work irregular hours. Able to communicate fluently and effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills, including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and respect for colleagues. Must be capable of working both individually and as part of a team. Must also be able to create a supportive working relationship among all project teams. Ability to engage in activities occurring in multiple field sites with multiple stakeholders across Indonesia. Willingness to travel extensively in Indonesia.
