TRAINER

CARE International Indonesia (CII), as an international NGO, has carried out large scale operations in Indonesia, encompassing emergency operations, transitional activities centered on agriculture and nutrition and a range of development initiatives in such areas as water and sanitation, health and micro-credit. CARE Indonesia in Kupang-East Nusa Tenggarat (NTT) is currently recruiting the following position for its project: JOB TITLE : TRAINER DEPARTMENT/PROJECT : PROGRAM/SESAMA REPORTS TO : PROJECT MANAGER BACKGROUND CARE International Indonesia (CII) is implementing SESAMA (Sustainable Settlement with Economic Security of Unprooted People and Their Host Communities through Strengthened and Adequate Mediation Approach project in Kupang – East Nusa Tenggara Province. The overall objectivesof this project is to support sustainable resettlements and livelihoods for those new citizen (ex-IDP’s) left behind in the recovery process through the group’s active participation in mainstream development planning and budgeting process. On the specific objective, the project is targeting 4,663 new citizens (IDP’s) and host community enhance sufficient access to land, shelter, community facilities, health and education services, livelihoods assets and skills and community decision making to form the basis for sustainable settlement and livelihoods. On the result 2 of this project is 15 villages have access to improved facilities including shelter, water/sanitation, health and educational facilities and services; which the indicators for this result are 50% of mothers and under five children have better access to Posyandu services and 50% decrease in incidence of common ailments thru the prompt accessing of health services. To achieve the result of this project, it is needed to establish health messenger in 15 villages that includes in this project. Before establish health messenger group in 15 villages, CII-SESAMA will give training that will help full about health and communication for participants from the community level. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS · She/he will have frequent visits in some remote villages in Kupang. · Delivered and facilitate health materials. · Delivered and facilitate planned groups discussion. · Provide tools that will be use full for health promotion in community. · Delivered and facilitate communication skills in community. · Facilitate as focal point and to liaise between the project and the beneficiaries of the project, the formation of health messenger group. · Develop training narrative reporting in Bahasa and English version. QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor/Master degree in medicine, public health or any other discipline that related to health or community health. · Minimum of 3 years working as trainer/consultant especially in health or community health trainings. · Familiar with Indonesia health ministry program standard especially in mother child health regulation and standard. · Familiar with culture in Kupang – NTT. · Expert in English. · Proven abilities to develop narrative reporting in Bahasa and English version. · Good communication and interpersonal skills.
