Job Description RTI International is seeking an IT Specialist for our RTI Indonesia office in Jakarta. The IT Specialist is responsible to manage and support IT infrastructure for RTI Indo office and project offices when required. This position requires some technical skills and communication skills. This post will report to RTI ITS Asia Pacific Regional Support Manager. Responsibilities include: * To provide support – in matters related to IT infrastructure and systems - to RTI Indo office and project offices in Indonesia which do not have a permanent IT staff, i.e. NTD and EMAS, including share internet access, network devices, file/database server, backup systems and other IT related support tasks. * To act as the backup person to the RTI ITS Asia Pacific Regional Support Manager, i.e. providing support – in matters related to IT infrastructure – to RTI offices and project offices outside Indonesia within Asia Pacific region. · To maintain Project server which do not have a permanent IT staff: o To ensure Windows Server and other software are maintained and that patches are promptly applied on all servers o To ensure that both the engine and signature files are kept up-to-date o To ensure information is backed up and maintained in accordance with RTI policies and procedures o To maintain spare parts and perform hardware repairs and restoration * To provide support in matters related to PC software and its peripherals (Win XP Pro, Win 7 Pro, Microsoft Office 2010, McAfee antivirus, Checkpoint Pointsec, etc) including * To ensure Windows and other software is maintained and that patches are promptly applied on all computers. * To ensure anti-virus software is installed and that both the engine and signature files, are kept up-to-date * To ensure information is backed up and maintained in accordance with RTI policies and procedures. * To provide user support on hardware, networking and software related issues. * To install and manage the configuring and troubleshooting laptops / desktops / printers / scanners * To serve as the first port of call for the maintaining of network infrastructure including ISP, router and ethernet switches for RTI Indo office and project offices in Indonesia which do not have a permanent IT staff * To maintain the RTI Indo IT Inventory Management and do physical check on regular basis. * To work under the supervision of RTI ITS Asia Pacific Regional Support Manager for daily operations as well as for any technical or compliance matters. Requirements: * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or comparable formal education background * Minimum of 3 years experiencing in installing/supporting/maintaining a wide range of IT infrastructure systems (Windows Servers, Windows PCs, Backups, Printers, Scanner, Voice, Recorders, etc) * PC and Server support experience * Experience or basic knowledge of Windows Server 2008, MS Office 2007/2010, Win 7 Pro and McAfee anti-virus · Good work ethic and strong desire to complete tasks in a timely manner as directed · Excellent written and oral communication skills · Proficient in English · Work well independently and in a team environment To apply please send your CV no later than August 26, 2012 to hr@rti-indomd.rti.org .
