AMARTA II

AMARTA II is a USAID funded program that aims to improve the competitiveness of the value chains of three high-value commodities: Coffee,Cocoa and Horticultural crops and to increase the access to credit of small holder farmers in these three sectors. The project will work extensively with local government, farmers groups, marketing companies, processors, input suppliers and other stakeholders to upgrade the target value chains and especially the proportion of income retained by farmers. Project and offices are in Medan, Makassar, Bandung, and Jakarta. We are currently seeking professionals for the Monitoring and Evaluation(M&E) Coordinator for Cocoa position base in South Sulawesi. M&E Coordinator for Cocoa: S/he will ensure that all AMARTA II program activities have high quality M&E systems in place that will enable tracking and reporting of program activities against AMARTA II indicators; responsible for ensuring that all progress against indicators is reported in a timely and accurate manner to both Makassar and Jakarta as directed. S/he will also develop, manage and oversee the collection of data required for completing the monitoring and evaluation plan – this will include data captured in baseline surveys, annual/bi-annual in-depth questionnaires, daily record keeping for AMARTA II cocoa farmers. Requirements: Bachelor or equivalent in Economics, Development Studies, Project Management or related field with 3 years experiences of relevant experience in developing and implementing M&E systems in development projects is required. Demonstrated ability in setting up and implementing M&E systems. Have skills, well understanding of M&E methodology and knowledge in operated statistic and database software. Experience working with USAID M&E systems is preferred. Excellent writing skills required. Fluent (Bahasa Indonesia) language skills and fluency in English language required. Information management skills (Word processing and spreadsheet application skills) and demonstrated interpersonal and team work skills. Duration of assignment is 4 years.
