closing date : 14 September 2012 IMMEDIATE VACANCIES Job Title : Field Officer (8 positions) and Data Entry Officer (1 position) Base : Kupang/NTT Starting date : ASAP Initial contract : 6 months Founded in 1979, ACF International (Action Against Hunger) is an international humanitarian organization that delivers programmes in over 40 countries. Recognized worldwide as a leader in the fight against hunger, our mission is to save lives through the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition, especially during and after emergency situations and conflicts. ACF Indonesia Mission is now starting an 18 months Nutrition Program and this project aims to tackle the underlying causes of child malnutrition through strengthening of health services, the promoting appropriate child feeding and care practices, as well as food security activities. Moreover, this project intends to improve the capacity of local governments and local communities in order raise their ability to sustainably address problems related to under nutrition in NTT province through a holistically integrated approach. Therefore, ACF Indonesia is now seeking qualified candidate to fill the following various positions as outlined below: DATA ENTRY OFFICER (CODE : 05NUT-DE/VIII/KU2012) Key Objectives: • Conduct standard nutritional and mortality surveys • Compile data base of project indicators • Assisting in project surveys • Doing participative monitoring activities in village level • Participate in village planning and budgeting meetings • Support to the program manager for monitoring and evaluation of other project activities Diploma/ Level of studies: University Degree in Statistics and other development studies Required skills: • Knowledge of : EPI Info, SPSS and Nutri survey., Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Excellent speaking, writing and reading Knowledge of English is plus • At least 2 years’ experience of nutrition/health in the humanitarian field; • Experience in Conduction of standard Nutritional Surveys; • Familiar with Nutritional National Guidelines • Good analytical capacity; Good communication with other people; NUTRITION Field Officer (CODE :06NUT-FO/VIII/KU2012) Key Objectives: • Organize training sessions on nutrition (Severe Acute Malnutrition inpatient detection and treatment). • Assist kaders and stakeholders about referral system of SAM children • Coordinate and doing advocacy activities regularly in village & sub district level • 90% travel and live in project areas (villages and sub-districts) Diploma/ Level of studies: D3 or S1 in Medical sciences (nurse/midwife) Required skills: • Previous experiences working in humanitarian organizations/context will be beneficial • Understanding of inpatient treatment in hospital especially treatment of acute malnutrition and IMCI (MTBS) CARE PRACTICE FIELD OFFICER (Code : 07/CP-FO/VIII/KU2012) Objectives: • Organize education sessions on care practices and health in community level • Be in charge of stimulating the beneficiaries of nutritional programmes with various approaches • 90% travel and live in project areas (villages and sub-districts) Diploma/ Level of studies: D3 or S1 in Medical sciences (Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, Midwife) Required skills: • Training IYCF, BF counsellors, familiarity with different stimulation/awareness methods • Good communication skills • Previous experiences working in humanitarian organizations/context will be beneficial • Understanding of local context (community behaviour) FOOD SECURITY FIELD OFFCIER (Code : 08/FS-FO/VIII/KU2012) Objectives: • Organize training sessions on FS • Be in charge of assisting the farmer and livestock groups • Doing liaison and coordination with other stakeholders at village and sub-district level • 90% travel and live in project areas (villages and sub-districts) Diploma/ Level of studies: Diploma or Bachelor in Agriculture sciences/social sciences Required skills: • Experience working with agriculture, organic farming,livestock, within community setting • Good communication skills • Previous experiences working in humanitarian organizations/context • Understanding of local context (community behaviour) Other requirements : Knowledge about Dawan language is beneficial General Requirements: Experience in humanitarian work indispensable – Experience in management and strong leadership skills, in following through a programme, in evaluating security – Good organizer – Rigour – Good analytical capacity – Team spirit – Good communication and relations with people.
