Yayasan Wisma Cheshire (YWC)

Yayasan Wisma Cheshire (YWC) is a member of the Leonard Cheshire Disablity Global Alliance (LCD) formerly known as Leonard Cheshire International, an NGO which supports and promotes the rights of disabled people. YWC is registered as an Indonesian Yayasan or foundation. The Jakarta home was opened in November 1974 by the late Group Captain Leonard Cheshire, VC. Built on land donated by Rumah Sakit (Hospital) Fatmawati, funds from London, along with local donations, were used for the buildings. The home is situated south of the hospital and is managed by a committee of Indonesian and expatriate volunteers. Currently we are looking manager who can manage our Home on the daily basis, the Manager work of scope is as below: *Main purposed of the job* The past holder will design and manage administration and the projects and provide technical support to committee and residents of Wisma Cheshire Home Jakarta, to help and implement new initiative to expand the service of Yayasan Wisma Cheshire not only for the resident but also for the people with disability (PWD) around Wisma Cheshire *Position in the organization* The past holder will be responsible to the committee of Yayasan Wisma Cheshire *Scope of Job* To build the capacity of Wisma Cheshire committee members and other partners to develop initiative new programmes in areas of inclusive education, economic empowerement, community based rehabilitation, quality of care, advocacy and campaigning and resources mobilization. To help the administrative work daily in Wisma Cheshire *Duties and Responsibilities* *(i) To manage the provision of technical support to Wisma Cheshire committee members · Design the technical support programmes, starting from the areas of specific skills for potential residents to get proper training or education. · Develop and implement a communications and advocacy strategy for Wisma Cheshire Home · Identify resources personnel and organization nationality who can provide technical support *(ii) Give support to committee member of daily administration of woodwork and handicraft and other administration related to Wisma program and activities* *(iii) To manage and support programme · Prepare annual work plan and reporting on it through budget quarterly and annual report · Prepare annual budget and expenditure on a quarterly basis and annual report · Manage and give supervision for resident and other staff *(iv) To support and expansion and new initiatives in Jakarta * · To identify the need of partners · Identify areas where there is potential and need to establish new project initiatives · Support committee of Wisma Cheshire in expansion and the development of new project initiatives · Support committee of Wisma Cheshire in expansion and the development of new project initiatives *(v) To promote and facilitate communication and information exchange on disability and development issues within Jakarta · Work closely with Wisma Cheshire committee it’s members and partners, key organization and individuals in the country to establish appropriate systems of communications and information exchanges · Facilitate information exchange with relevant government and non government organization in Jakarta and Indonesia *(vi) To support and financial resources of Wisma Cheshire · Identify potential and interest donors · Initiate and maintain relation with donors · Prepare and present project proposals · Ensure ongoing communication and timely reports and provided to donors Person Specifications: Essential: • A Degree in Social Sciences or any relevant discipline from a Recognized University/ College. • 2 years of experience in implementing and reporting on development/community based projects. • Must have basic computer skills, particularly the use of excel spreadsheet, word and Powerpoint. Comfortable in using email and Internet, having knowledge on basic of design graphic program and basic knowledge of accounting • Good knowledge on issues of social exclusion, human rights and skills in campaigning and advocacy. • Passionate about working with young people with disabilities. • Strong team player with leadership and conflict management skills. • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize work assignments, and work well under pressure and high stress tolerance * Ability to work independently and as a team member Please send your latest CV and covering letter indicated that you are fit with this position by email and The Position Code in the email subject field.
