Islamic Relief Worldwide is an International Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief has a consultative status (special category) with the economic and Social Council of the United Nations is full member of British Overseas NGOs for Development (BOND) and a signatory to the code of conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief. It seeks to promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities through relief and development programmes. Islamic Relief Indonesia is part of Islamic Relief Worldwide which has been working in Indonesia since 2003. Islamic Relief Indonesia provides service and support to the communities in mandate areas, based on the MoU with Department of Home Affairs. There are some initiative sectors under Emergency and Development program such as Shelter, Water and Sanitation, Health and Nutrition, Livelihood, Orphans, Education, Marines Fisheries, and Disaster Preparedness and Response. Through these sectors, Islamic Relief Indonesia plays significant role in alleviating the suffering and poverty of the world's poorest people. Islamic Relief Indonesia seeks to hire committed and experienced person for the following: Position: Driver Base: West Sumatera Duration 23 August 12 - 31 January 13 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: . Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks fuel, oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, front/rear lights, etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and mission ready; . Logs all trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption and purchases, oil changes, greasing, etc.; . Advises supervisor of the need for servicing and maintenance of vehicles; . Meets Islamic Relief personnel at the airport and facilitates immigration and customs formalities . Collects and delivers mail or documents when required; . Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident; . Drives office vehicles, in a safe and careful manner, for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items; . Logs official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption and purchases, oil changes, greasing, etc.; . Meets Islamic Relief personnel at the airport and facilitates immigration and customs formalities as required; . Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident; . Loading and un loading material if required to assist delivery of material more efficient. . Performs other duties as required. KEY COMPETENCIES * At least 2 Years work experience in a similar job * Familiar with West Sumatra areas * Driving Licenses ( A / B1 Umum) * Senior High school graduated is preferred. * Good interpersonal and communication skills in bahasa Indonesia and cross-cultural environment * Basic English conversation will be an advantage * Proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations * Capacity to work under time pressure and sometimes extra hours * High level of motivation * Attention to detail and the ability to be systematic and organized * Takes a proactive approach to handle the jobs * Actively establishes and maintains high standards * Ability to work independently with reasonable skills at prioritization * Willingness to learn and accept guidance for personal improvement * Commitment to Islamic Relief aims, beliefs and objectives If you meet the above requirements kindly send your detailed CV with recent photograph containing recommendations from 3 referees, (one of them your immediate former employer) to: hrislamic@islamic-relief.or.id Please put the job title and your name in subject of your email.
